I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Hypnotherapist, Reiki Master, and trained practitioner in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Parts I & II, Psycho-Kinesiology, and Specialized Energy Kinesiology. I am currently completing certifications in Aromatherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). My passion for the healing arts began in early childhood and initially guided me to work as a physician assistant in Germany. Personal experiences and my immigration to the United States over 35 years ago deepened my interest in psychosomatic therapy, trauma, loss, grief, and bereavement. In my late 30s, I pursued further education in Forensic Psychology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where I graduated as Valedictorian. My academic focus included counseling and substance abuse treatment (CASAC-T). I continued my studies at New York University, earning a Master’s degree in Social Work. I am currently licensed in New Jersey and practice as a therapist within a group practice, while also maintaining a private practice. For seven years, I expanded my clinical expertise by conducting psychiatric assessments in a busy emergency room setting. Due to current circumstances, I am seeing clients exclusively via telehealth. Alongside my clinical work, I have cultivated a strong interest in essential oils, founding Lavenora, a business dedicated to handmade body products and gift sets. Essential oils are often integrated into my in-person therapy sessions. I have also engaged extensively in training on meditation, mindfulness, and breathwork—tools that support connection to the body and present moment awareness. This professional journey has been one of ongoing self-discovery and growth, enabling me to support others in their own healing processes and in living more authentic, fulfilling lives. Additionally, I am an Ordained Minister through the Universal Life Church.
