Kinesiology ("kin-easy-ology") comes from the Greek word kinesis, which means movement. Kinesiology, in the general sense, is the science of human movement. It is a holistic, alternative, and natural approach to wellness, it is comprehensive and systematic in its approach, and integrates Mind, Body, and Spirit. Nevertheless, kinesiology is not (yet) a recognized modality thus is not covered by insurance companies.
Psychokinesiology is based on the teachings of Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt and Roger Callahan. It deals with the psychosomatic symptoms that arise when body and mind are not in balance and the energy is blocked or misdirected. Therefore, talking and story telling are strong components since much of our dis-ease is emotional based. It is our emotion that drives us and we may feel e.g. happy, sad, overlooked, fearful, humiliated, angry, frustrated or peaceful and in harmony with ourself and others. Our mind is extremely powerful and in psychokinesiology we use the power of the mind to gain awareness and with that foster a sense of wellbeing. In that, we always screen for unresolved psychological conflicts.
The goal of psychokinesiology is to restore the energy flow in the body and to maintain a balanced state. This modality makes use of many other forms of energy healing such as aromatherapy, crystals, EFT, flower essences and more. More so, psychokinesiology works on the premise that you already hold the solution to your issue; all it needs is to be unlocked or brought forth into your conscious mind.
Muscle testing is part of this form of kinesiology, yet unlike Specialized Energy Kinesiology, setting a specific or SMART goal is not necessary to gain awareness and achieve results.
