Change Your Language

"Choose your words wisely"
Change the words you speak and think - change your thoughts

The Power of Language and Intention

Have you ever paused to notice how often we speak to ourselves in a negative way? Phrases like “I’m so stressed,” “I can’t do this,” or “Today has been awful” can roll off the tongue without a second thought. Even small comments like “This weather is terrible” can add up. You might even recognize your own version of this internal dialogue—often subtle, but persistent.
So many of us are in the habit of focusing on what’s wrong, rather than what’s possible. But our words carry energy—and when we continuously speak or think in the negative, it affects how we feel, how we move through the world, and how we view ourselves.
The good news is, we can begin to shift this. With gentle awareness and intention, we can start to reframe our language in ways that are more supportive, kind, and true to the life we want to create. In our work together, we explore how your inner language shapes your experience—and how changing it can open space for healing, clarity, and self-empowerment.
Let’s begin that shift, one word at a time.
I invite you to try a gentle experiment this week:
See what happens when you begin to shift your thoughts into more positive or empowering language. For the next few days, do your best to catch yourself—and reframe. Notice how you feel. Does anything shift in your mood, energy, or perspective?
To help you get started, here are a few suggestions:
instead of saying ...
  • I am depressed.
  • I can't do it.
  • This is hard.
  • It is a dead end.
  • It's a dreary day.
  • Today was a lousy day.
  • I'm getting sick.
say ...
  • I am less happy.
  • I have yet to master it.
  • This is less easy
  • Let's try a different way.
  • This day can only get better.
  • Today was less perfect. - or - Today was not so good.
  • My immune system is flushing out toxins and is working on keeping me healthy.
